Salesinteract automatically promotes a Lead to a Prospect if it eg reads the mail or opens a presentation. For most companies this is a signal that interest is shown and the lead is qualified as a prospect. If a quotation is offered via Salesinteract and the contact accepts it, it is automatically upgraded to a customer in the system.

To stop this automatic process, this setting can be turned on so that you can qualify yourself as a Lead, Prospect or Customer.
